What are the engine options for the Wrangler?
There are a couple of different engine options when it comes to the 2021 Wrangler. Starting things off we have the 3.6-liter V6 engine which delivers 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque! Available transmission options for this engine are the six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic, with 4WD. The next engine option is the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and gives 270 horsepower and 295lb-ft of torque. Finally, there is the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine that delivers 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque! These two engines are both mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2021 Wrangler also has a hybrid option called the 4xe, a plug-in hybrid battery pack to the four-cylinder, and packs 375 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque!
Can you tell me about some features of the new Wrangler?
There are some very exciting new features on the Wrangler! Because its the 80th anniversary of Jeep, they have released a special edition wrangler that commemorates the exciting anniversary with available leather seats, Granite Crystal interior accents, 18-inch wheels with a Granite Crystal finish, a three-piece black hardtop, and of course commemorative badging! Other features available for all models are the 8.4-inch touchscreen, the Trailcam forward-facing off-road camera, Off-road Pages, and Off-road+ (standard on the Rubicon). These exciting new features not only celebrate the off-road adventure but offer a more luxurious and convenient ride!
Tell me more about the various trims
Beginning with the first trim level, we have the Wrangler Sport! The Sport has all of the features needed to take you on all of your off-road adventures, including tow hooks, foglights, skid plates to keep your underbelly clean, a 5-inch touchscreen to keep your connection at your fingertips, and 17-inch wheels. Next up we have the Wrangler Sport S, which proves to be just as off-road ready as the Sport, being equipped with alloy-wheels, much of the same off-road equipment, but has a couple more conveniences such as power windows and locks, AC, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Sport S is also featured with two sub trim levels: the Altitude and High Altitude, both adding additional suspension features to improve the handling of the Wrangler on rougher terrain. Next is the Sahara, coming in with tech advances such as a 7-inch touchscreen and automatic climate control. The Sahara is full-time FWD. Lastly, we have the Rubicon, which was designed with off-roading on the roughest terrain in mind. The Rubicon is equipped with an electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar, rock rails, 17-inch wheels, 33-inch off-road tires, 4:1 low-range gearing, and larger fender flares.
