What Are Some Design Features of the 2022 Grand Wagoneer?
The designers of the Grand Wagoneer spent a lot of time crafting it to capture the essence of American craftsmanship, ingenuity, and Jeep’s long-running history. The seven-slot grille pays homage to the iconic image Jeep is recognized for globally, while the wide, forward-leaning stance is reminiscent of the Grand Wagoneers of old. The large windows for all three rows of passengers provide a ‘windows to the world’ feel that the original Grand Wagoneer was known for. Inside, you’ll find a two-spoke steering wheel with audio controls, perfectly capturing the image of a modern twist on a timeless classic. Leather, metal, and wood all work in perfect harmony to create a classic yet modern feel. Like the original Grand Wagoneer, the 2022 model will bring together some of the most advanced technology and comfortable features the world has ever seen. Uconnect 5, Jeep’s most advanced infotainment software to date, will be displayed on a fully customizable horizontal 12-inch touchscreen placed within reach of both driver and front passenger. The Series I comes with Nappa leather-trimmed seats, while the Series II, Obsidian, and Series III come with perforated Nappa seating. All trim levels have 24-way power-adjustable front seats and heated/ventilated front seats. Four-zone climate control will be displayed on a 10.25-inch articulating screen in the front and a fixed 10.25-inch screen in the second row.
Can You Talk About the 2022 Grand Wagoneer’s Capability?
We’d love to! The Grand Wagoneer’s superior capability will begin under the hood with a 6.4L V8 that cranks out an impressive 471 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to the robust TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. When the Grand Wagoneer is equipped with a tow package, it can tow up to a class-leading 10,000lbs. Continuing to the on and off-road capability, it’s time to talk about the three available full-time 4×4 systems. Quadra-Trac I comes standard with a group of sensors to detect a loss of traction and thwart it by redistributing up to 100% of available torque to the axle with the most traction through a single-speed transfer case. Quadra-Trac II operates similarly with a two-speed transfer case with Active 4-Low mode for maximum low-speed crawling control. Quadra-Drive II has the features of Quadra-Drive II but employs a limited-slip rear differential and can predict a loss of traction and instantly redistribute torque to limit and even prevent slippage. All 4×4 systems come with Selec-Terrain Traction Management. With Auto, Sport, Snow, Rock, and Sand/Mud modes, drivers get total control over the Grand Wagoneer and its capability. Lastly, Quadra-Lift Air Suspension gives the Grand Wagoneer a normal ride height of 8 inches but has a 3.6-inch lift span from as low as 6.4 inches to a towering 10 inches!
What About Some Safety Features?
With so much capability and luxury, it may seem like the Grand Wagoneer has forgotten about safety. But rest assured, my friends, it has not! In fact, the Grand Wagoneer will roll out of the factory with more than 120 standard and available driver assists. Standard on all Grand Wagoneer variants are driver assists like a surround-view camera, rear parking assistance with stop, blindspot monitoring with rear cross-path detection, active lane management, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with animal and cyclist detection, and more. Automated driving assists like ParkSense Automated Parking System are available to the 2022 Grand Wagoneer. The body of the Grand Wagoneer will sit on a high-strength steel frame crafted to direct crash energy away from the cabin and its occupants while all-around airbag coverage keeps them safe.
